PTO Student Social on Friday, Sept. 18
Posted Date: 09/09/26 (10:45 AM)
The PTO is hosting the first Social of the school year at Highlands on Friday, Sept. 18. This will be right after school from 2:35-4:00. We would appreciate any help from you to make this event the best it can be. Here is a link to sign up:
Socials are for students to make connections and have fun with their friends after school. There will be a dance in the cafeteria, bingo in the library, basketball and volleyball in the gym, carnival games set up in the hallways, and pizza, lemonade, and other snacks.
Students can purchase a wristband to attend the event. Wristbands will be sold during lunches Sept. 16-18 and cost $3 for 1 or $5 for 2. This wristband will get students into the Social, where they can participate in free activities such as the dance and games in the gym. Tickets can be purchased for $0.50 each. Tickets can be used to play carnival-type games and buy concession items.
There are many ways for parents/guardians to support this event:
-
Donate concession items like water, juice boxes, fruit snacks, snack bags of chips, candy, soda, or anything you think your student would like. These donations can be dropped off at the office any time before the Social.
-
Help sell wristbands at lunch Sept. 16-18 from 11:00-1:00. If you are available for this, please use the link above to sign up.
-
Chaperone during the Social on Friday, Sept. 18 from 2:15-4:30. Roam the hallways and rooms and help students as needed. Sign up for this through the link above.
